The moment Constanze had known her fate back within her homeland of Ireland, she knew her time had come. She would go fourth to bring her bloodlines honor and make her mother before her proud. It was what she was bred to do, made to do, wanted to do. Though most of her breed strived toward racing it wasn't what she could find herself doing, though she did it up to her third year within the world. With little success on the track it was proven she was made for something else in life. The thought of having little babies around her made her happier than any race in the world could. It had only been a day since she had stepped off the plane and into an unfamiliar trailer for the sake of her new career. So far, America wasn't much different from her homeland. The people seemed the same and the weather did as well. This was her home now and she was going to accept it willingly.
Stepping off the trailer, the mare quickly noticed a few signs that were visible in the area. Flamingo Bay Stud? She thought to herself knowing well she was purchased by the older bald human dubbed under Laurel View Farms. Maybe this was another branch of the farm or a place she would be kept until the time of foaling. The possibilities were endless. Easily moving off into the barn she was checked over for any shipping injuries and a typical health check. For a strange mare coming from across the seas it seemed humans made the extra effort to make sure she didn't have anything to pass on. Luckily, she was healthy and good to go. Getting her approval she gracefully moved into a walk now getting a good view of her surroundings as they left through the back of the barn.
There was nothing but land before her, fence and land. Cozy blinked for a moment only pausing for a second to get a second glance of it all. It was nearly stunning. "Come on." She heard her handler coax, allowing him to take her in the direction she was needed to go in willingly. Here she would get to stretch her legs, graze and relax to the point of no return to Ireland. She was happy. Awaiting as the handler released the lead line from her halter, she galloped off into her paddock as quickly as she had arrived. The burn within her legs told her she had stood too long and needed to stretch, play and romp. Kicking out into the air as if she aimed at an invisible target the mare was as entertaining as could be. She was home.

Secrets Burning Deep Inside...
Mina watched the newcomer with assessing eyes. She raised her crown to the air and pulled her lips back as though to taste the air for the new horse's scent. After her short stop at the tracks, her owners had finally placed her in the breeding facility until the next breeding season arrived. She had huffed and puffed in her transfer, as though she wasn't completely resigned to retirement.
She had arrived at Flamingo Bay Stud and from her trailer had seen the rolling pastures as far as they eyes could see. She had admitted to herself that this life couldn't possibly be that bad, but she would have been lying to herself if she'd said she was eager to spend the rest of her days here in the fields.
She had settled in with little fuss, though she was still playing tricks with the staff here at the breeding facility. A few stolen hats, pocket picking, anything harmless to achieve a small thrill and get a laugh from the humans. She had quickly become a barn favorite with her playful attitude, but all the humans could see her restlessness. She was often left out to pasture to burn off the extra energy.
As she cantered about the open field, she noticed all of a sudden that she now wasn't the only mare here. Her interests were piqued and she galloped freely and smoothly over to the shared fence-line. She watched as the bay mare relished her new found freedom. She watched amused at the younger mare.
Welcome to Hialeah. She snorted, head out-stretched over the fence in interest. She was a fetching mare and she seemed to be enjoying her retirement. Even in her older age, she had never fully settled in, but then...she'd never had a reason to. With not foal by her side, she hadn't seen a reason to settle, but it looked like her new stable was about to change her mind about that kind of lifestyle. This other gal, didn't seem to have as many reservations. She felt a faint flicker of competition deep in her gut as she locked interested eyes on the other female. Who was to be on top?

Feeling the turf beneath her hooves reminded her strictly of home and the track she had left behind so willingly. How could anyone not want the lifestyle before her? As her pillars came back upon the ground, a bay mass caught her eyes almost as quickly as she arrived. It was another mare it seemed. Stretching her muzzle out into the air she could smell her soft scent which brought her comfort knowing she wasn't alone. It was always well to have friends and in a new country it was needed. Walking over to the shared fence line gracefully and cautiously, Cozy was nothing more than a friendly soul. Even the way she carried herself showed no attempts of aggression or even the need to start a fight. She was just one happy rounded mare. "It is beautiful." Cozy spoke softly, her Irish accent ringing over the sounds of her own hooves. "Did you just arrive today?" She quickly added now standing within reach of Mina completely and in content.
The mare before her was beautiful and even nearly the same shade of color she was. Part of her even thought they could pass as twins if the white dot in the center of her forehead wasn't so massive. "It has been a long trip but now I am glad to finally be in America. Ireland is long behind me now." She continued on to speak without a worry in the world. Constanze had spent most of her time back in Ireland with older mares that were seasoned mothers. It was typical of them to chat up a storm and express concerns or who was the more handsome stallion in the area. None ever displayed nor offered to display any type of aggression due to the fact they all knew their fighting days were over on the track. They were all to be mothers now and she happily accepted that. "My name is Constanze..though most call me Cozy here..it's the French that confuses most." She chuckled, feeling a warmth of happiness within her, her audits pricked and alert. What is yours?"
ooc: sorry, tired and just got off work. will be better next time! ((:
